A contractor account at Kwikze Paint is not a program with a lengthy application and approval process. It is a standing relationship with a Benjamin Moore dealer that gets you volume pricing, the right to charge account purchases, and access to staff who know the product line well enough to answer the substrate and application questions that come up on job sites.
This guide walks through the specifics: what to bring, what to expect, how pricing works, and which location makes sense for your business.
What a Kwikze Contractor Account Includes
A contractor account at Kwikze is built around a few practical elements.
Volume pricing on the full Benjamin Moore product line. The discount structure is based on purchase frequency and volume. Contractors who buy regularly in meaningful quantities get pricing that is meaningfully below retail. The specifics vary by product tier and monthly volume, and the best approach is to call before your first visit to discuss what you buy and what the pricing looks like at your volume.
7AM opening access Monday through Friday. All three Kwikze locations open at 7:00 AM weekdays specifically because contractor crews need to load and go before 8AM. Waiting at a paint store while your crew sits in the parking lot at the job site is lost money. The 7AM opening was a foundational decision for Kwikze, and all three locations maintain it.
Staff expertise on the Benjamin Moore product line. Contractors ask different questions than homeowners. Which primer works on new drywall with high pH? What is the correct product for exterior EIFS? Can you use Advance on metal cabinet hardware? Staff at all three Kwikze locations can answer those questions. You are not relying on general retail knowledge.
ALLPRO network pricing. Kwikze Paint is a member of the ALLPRO purchasing cooperative, which gives member dealers pricing leverage with Benjamin Moore and access to ALLPRO’s own product line for certain commodity supplies. That pricing structure translates to better contractor account rates than non-member dealers can offer.
What to Bring When You Come In
Setting up a contractor account at any Kwikze location takes approximately 15 minutes. Bring the following:
Business name and contact information. If you operate as a sole proprietor under your own name, that works. An LLC or DBA name is fine too. Texas does not require a state contractor license for residential painting, so a formal license is not required for account setup.
Preferred billing and payment method. Contractor accounts can be set up for cash purchase with volume pricing at the register, or for charge account billing on a weekly or monthly cycle depending on your volume.
A sense of what you typically buy. Walk in knowing roughly what products and quantities you purchase in a typical month. That allows the manager to give you accurate pricing in the conversation rather than a generic estimate.
The Account Setup Process
The process is a conversation, not a formal application. Walk into any Kwikze location and ask to speak with the manager or senior staff about setting up a contractor account. The conversation covers your business, your typical products and volumes, and the pricing structure that fits your situation.
There is no fee to open the account. There is no credit check for cash accounts. Charge accounts for billing on net terms require a brief credit discussion, but most working contractors use cash or card with volume pricing rather than extended credit terms.
First purchase can happen the same visit. There is no waiting period or approval cycle. Once the account is set up, you buy at contractor pricing immediately.
How Pricing Works
Volume pricing at Kwikze is based on what you buy and how often you buy it. The structure is tiered: occasional purchases get a modest discount, regular volume purchases get progressively better pricing.
Pricing is not published on the website. This is intentional. Pricing discussions at Kwikze are individual conversations based on your specific purchase patterns. The right way to get accurate numbers is to call the location you plan to use and have a direct conversation before you come in. That call takes five minutes and means you arrive knowing what to expect.
For contractors running multiple crews across large-volume new construction in Katy and Cypress, the pricing at the Fry Rd location is competitive with what the major chains offer on similar volume.
Choosing the Right Location for Your Account
All three Kwikze locations serve contractor accounts, but your primary location should be the one closest to where your crew starts their day.
For contractors working in Katy, Cypress, Tomball, Bridgeland, and the Grand Parkway corridor: the Fry Rd Cypress location is your location. It handles the highest contractor volume of the three stores and is accustomed to the pace of contractor pickup in the morning hours.
For contractors working in the Galleria, Memorial, River Oaks, and Westchase corridor: the Westheimer location serves West Houston efficiently. Parking is in the strip center lot directly in front of the store.
For contractors working in Bellaire, Meyerland, West University, Sharpstown, and Stafford: the Beechnut location is the anchor for Southwest Houston contractor work. Staff there is bilingual and experienced with the diverse contractor base that works across the Southwest Houston corridor.
You can pick up at any location using your account. If a job site is closer to a different store than your home base location, your account works at all three.
